Cortica is the developer of the next generation 'Autonomous AI' which uses unsupervised learning' to imitate the way people experience themselves and to integrate the world around them. Cortica will open up the way to mass deployment of ADAS and Automated Driving (AD) applications throughout the automotive industry. Cortica will begin instantly with the use of the state-of-the-art computer vision system Cortica for front-facing cameras and Renesas to use its advanced platform product. Cortica offers the most accurate central sensing engine directly available on the Renesas R-Car V3H SoC for all current and future ADAS features by using the low calculator nature of Cortica technology. The joint effort will introduce a robust and scalable open platform perception solution with unrivaled accuracy and performance, faster reaction time, and overall security changes for ADAS. The Cortica solution demo at CES shows a new, safer, and smarter generation of auto operations with unprecedented execution times directly on the Renesas chip.

Automotive engineers are working very hard to achieve better human-machine interfaces (HMIs), which monitor drivers and provide genuinely supportive updates to automobile status. It makes data presentations more useful, in particular by the use of head-up displays (HUDs), which directly project critical information into the windshield in the normal view of the driver.
