BE-D by Scame Parre is the new wall box for charging electric vehicles in direct current DC with a rated power of 25kW. Compact in size, but fast in terms of charging time, it is the ideal solution for tourist facilities, shopping centres and urban parking, but also business fleets, commercial vehicles and car sharing services.
When taking into consideration that most on board chargers featured in the majority of today’s electric vehicles accept only 7 or 11 kW alternating current, the advantages of a 25 kW DC charger compared to a 22 kW AC are noteworthy.
As a matter of fact, DC chargers directly charge the EV’s battery bypassing the onboard charger’s limits. As a consequence, when comparing a 25 kW DC charger and a 22 kW AC charger, even though similar in rated power, these may have very different effective charging speeds, with the DC charger charging up to two or three times quicker than its AC counterpart.
Made of halogen-free thermoplastic material and embellished with a metal frame in powder-coated aluminium, BE-D stations are characterized by clean and essential lines signed Trussardi+Belloni Design, real distinctive element of Scame charging stations that in addition to allowing immediate recognition makes them the ideal choice in any installation context.
Whenever a wall mounting installation is not possible, the BE-D range features a complementary steel powder coated pedestal that follow the same lines and feelings originated from TRUSSARDI&BELLONI’s pen. Finishing touch are the connector holders, which come bundled with the charging station.
What’s more is the possibility of personalising the front panel with a custom laser printed graphic adding a unique trait and identity of the customer to the station.
BE-D Series stations can be equipped with one or two connectors (CCS2 or CHAdeMO standards available). The single output charging session can be managed via a 7’ touch screen display which also features a motion and light dimming sensor that optimize stand-by energy consumptions.
Like the rest of the Scame E-Mobility offer, the BE-D wall box provides different user access mode: free without authentication, with local authentication via user card RIFD or with remote authentication via OCPP Central Station.
The free mode, without any need for user identification to start or stop charging sessions, is the ideal choice for installation in environments that don’t require controlled access because it’s normally limited to a few people, usually the vehicle owners, or where the accesses are already regulated by other systems.
On the other hand, BE-D wall boxes with authentication access mode are the final choice in all those cases where the plant must be monitored and managed remotely. Authentication can be managed with two alternative modes: locally via RFID user card or remotely through a central station with OCPP 1.6 protocol, the latter situation in which all typical use cases of charging platforms are supported, such as billing and remote identification via a mobile app.
BE-D charging stations, equipped with Ethernet-WiFi-2/3/4G connectivity, can be managed through the Scame Management System, an integrated proprietary software that provides full control and enables a full set of system actions and information, such as: the status of charging points, real-time charging session data, list of authorized users management, data consumption monitoring, firmware update and much more. They can also be connected to an external E-Mobility Service Provider (EMSP) via the standard OCPP 1.6 JSON communication protocol. In this case, the stations will be managed by the external EMSP and may allow additional services such as billing and the stations booking. Scame guarantees compatibility between its charging stations and external E-Mobility Service Providers that have undergone an OCPP 1.6 JSON compatibility test.
Pioneer in the E-mobility field since 1999, Scame is a reference in the industry of AC charging stations. By launching the new BE-D series, Scame Parre enters into the DC segment and does so with a product from the strong character intended to leave a mark.
