New Positions Strengthen the Company's Safety-First Approach to Real-World Autonomous Shuttle Service Leadership.
Fremont, CA: Beep provides next-generation mobility services using autonomous, electrified multi-passenger cars. Beep links people, places, and services in first- and last-mile mobility networks by specializing in developing and managing sophisticated autonomous shuttles for both private and public communities. Beep also uses data and learnings from its public road projects to develop vehicle-agnostic edge solutions that improve autonomous platforms' safety, access, artificial intelligence, and driverless operating capabilities.
Beep appointed Stephen Berry as the chief safety officer and David Rodriguez as senior director of transit operations today. Mr. Berry assumes the newly established CSO position as Beep prepares for rapid growth in 2022, which will include new, larger scale, real-world autonomous shuttle projects and the continued development of unique technologies that will further elevate safety and overall autonomous capabilities. Berry's significant expertise in public safety administration, including his former role as general manager of St. Louis Metro Public Safety, will be put to good use.
As a senior director of transit operations, Rodriguez will use his almost 15 years of expertise to supervise numerous elements of Beep's shuttle deployments, including operational and route planning, attendants staffing & training, first responder training, and autonomous fleet maintenance. He collaborates closely with autonomous shuttle vendors to guarantee each project's safe deployment and testing. Mr. Rodriguez formerly worked as the Council on Aging of St. Lucie, the public transportation authority for St. Lucie County in Florida.
Beep, unlike any other organization in the business, provides fully managed autonomous mobility services by utilizing years of expertise as operators and administrators of the biggest and most tenured autonomous shuttle network in the US in Lake Nona, an advanced area in the City of Orlando.
