THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING

Europe’s electric vehicle battery recycling market was valued at USD 1.9 billion in 2022. It is projected to grow from USD 2.2 billion in 2023 to USD 10.5 billion by 2032, with a compound annual growth rate of 21% between 2024 and 2032. The rising demand for zero emission vehicles continues to drive this strong market expansion.
Against this fast-changing backdrop, the 3rd Annual Electric Vehicle Battery and Recycling Forum will take place on 17th–18th March 2026 at Leonardo Munich City South in Munich, Germany. The event will bring together OEMs, EV battery manufacturers, recyclers, policymakers, and technology innovators to address the future of battery recycling in Europe.
Since 2006, Directive 2006/66/EC has required that at least 50% of materials in used batteries and accumulators be recycled. It also places responsibility on producers to collect used batteries at their own expense and ensure proper recycling, either directly or through specialist partners. As a result, recycling electric vehicle batteries is a responsibility shared by all vehicle manufacturers.
Despite regulatory progress, major challenges remain. High recycling costs, complex battery components, and the need for specialized equipment make end of life processing expensive. The lack of standardized methods for assessing remaining battery capacity creates additional barriers. Limited circular economy integration further slows the potential for multiple reuse cycles.
The Electric Vehicle Battery and Recycling Forum will address these issues directly. The agenda will cover implemented recycling processes, solid state battery technologies and recyclability, raw material recovery strategies, and the impact of incoming EU battery regulations. Participants will gain practical insight into how to reduce environmental and social impacts across the entire battery life cycle.
The forum will feature expert presentations, interactive panel discussions, technical showcases, and strategic networking sessions. Senior decision makers will share real world case studies, best practices, and proven approaches to improving efficiency, reducing costs, and strengthening compliance.
This conference equips industry leaders with the knowledge, partnerships, and tools required for sustainable success in a rapidly advancing sector. Attendees will explore advanced technologies that optimize recycling processes, extract greater value from battery waste, and accelerate the transition toward a more circular battery economy.
Industry professionals interested in attending or partnering are encouraged to secure their participation early.
