Mobility to Rely on Juice Technology for its Charging Infrastructure

For the electrification of its company locations, Mobility relies on quick, standardized charging processes to ensure a stable supply of electric power for the various models of electric vehicles in its fleet.

FREMONT, CA: Juice Technology AG, the industry leader in portable charging stations for electric vehicles and a manufacturer of electric charging stations and applications, is supplying the JUICE CHARGER 2 AC charging stations to electrify Mobility’s locations throughout Switzerland. The transition is a significant step forward for electromobility in the ride-sharing industry. Mobility, Switzerland’s market-leading car-sharing company, expects to transform its entire fleet of over 3,000 vehicles to zero-emission electric vehicles by 2030 at the earliest. At the same time, the firm is rapidly expanding its e-charging infrastructure. In the first phase, 300 or more e-charging stations will be deployed at Mobility locations throughout Switzerland over the next three years.

A Trusted Relationship Between Juice and Mobility

For the electrification of its company locations, Mobility relies on quick, standardized charging processes to ensure a stable supply of electric power for the various models of electric vehicles in its fleet. Last year, Juice Technology provided solid proof that its charging stations completely met Mobility’s needs. The charging station manufacturer equipped the first e-parking spaces for Mobility with charging facilities in Zurich and Aarau as part of a cooperative project with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), “Mobility’s biggest and most significant location partner,” at the end of 2020. The two firms are now working together directly.

JUICE CHARGER 2: An AC Charging Station That Makes No Compromises

Juice Technology is supplying the JUICE CHARGER 2 AC charging stations to electrify Mobility’s business locations. “The biggest hurdle to electrifying our vehicle fleet is installing an e-charging network. This is why we have brought experienced partners like Juice on board to enable us to implement this project and drive this expansion as rapidly as possible,” explains Roland Lötscher, CEO of Mobility. “The future belongs to e-mobility, and, as pioneers, we want to blaze the trail,” he adds.

The JUICE CHARGER 2’s high-resolution touch display is easy and intuitive to use, providing optimum comfort for consumers when using this equipment. The intelligent, Omni-dynamic and infinitely scalable load management system allow for centralized management and control of all connected e-car charging operations. The JUICE CHARGER 2’s calibrated electricity meter ensures correct billing, and the integrated Near-Field Communication (NFC)/Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) reader allows for equipment activation.
