Tecalliance Hires David Williams As The New Opticat/Jnpsoft CEO

TecAlliance nominates David Williams as the new chief executive officer of OptiCat/JNPSoft operations.

FREMONT, CA: “It was immediately clear that David Williams was the right fit. Under his leadership, we look forward to a vibrant and flourishing future of our USA/Canada business and the many customer organizations we serve each year,” says David Winter, Executive Vice President of Sales at TecAlliance. TecAlliance has hired David Williams as the new CEO of its OptiCat/ JNPSoft operations in the United States and Canada. Williams, a seasoned corporate executive, will undertake his new responsibilities on September 12 after gradually succeeding Charles Johnson. After ten years as CEO, Johnson helped build the company into a significant provider of data distribution and software services to the North American mobility aftermarket. From January 2023, Johnson will serve as a consultant for TecAlliance, supporting David Williams as he begins his new role.

David Williams joins JNPSoft/OptiCat from DENSO Products & Services Americas, where he held a variety of positions for nearly a decade. In his most recent position as Director of the Automotive Original Equipment Repair Parts Division, he handled the sales, distribution, development, and production of traditional service parts, diagnostic equipment, and developing connected solutions provided to North American automobile manufacturers. Before this, he was the Vertical Market Head for the Commercial Vehicle Products Business Unit at Crane Controls. Before that, he spent 13 years with Toyota Motor Sales Inc. in positions of progressively greater responsibility, ranging from working with franchise dealers in the field to becoming the Product Manager for pickup trucks.
